Basically rattan is found in tropical regions of Asia, Australia and Africa, 70% of rattan comes from Indonesia also and if we talk about the largest producer of Rattan in the world then the name of Cirebon comes in my mind. Rattan is very famous material and first choice of all in case of outdoor furniture because of its so many features that we require specially for outdoor purpose. For keeping outside we need furniture that is durable, light in weight, flexible and weather resistance. Other than making furniture, rattan is also used for making baskets canes, and many other things.

Like in case of wooden furniture we can coat them with paints, varnish and other moisture resistance coats; rattan furniture’s also enables it. If we want to keep natural looking outdoorfurniture in our home then we can keep it without getting it painted because without paint it gives natural color. As it does not require much maintenance but a little bit of maintenance and care should be done of it to use it for a long time. First and foremost thing is that you should clean its surface on regular basis.
